Yuser is a painter known for merging figurative art with abstract and surreal elements to create expressive narratives. His work navigates between the encountered world and emotional perception, inviting viewers to explore intricate, layered visual landscapes that evoke introspection and encourage personal interpretation.
LIFE AND EDUCATION
Yuser was born in 1996 and graduated with a degree in Architecture from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2020. The city’s rich complexity and diverse cultural landscape have significantly shaped his artistic approach and narrative style. He continues to live and work in Istanbul.
WORK AND TECHNIQUE
Yuser’s artistic practice is driven by an ongoing exploration of the potential of painting. Working with diverse mediums such as oils and acrylics, he constantly experiments with new techniques, pushing the limits of how paint can be shaped and redefined in innovative ways. For four years, he employed unconventional tools and methods—such as molding, sanding, scrubbing, and monoprinting on canvas to create unique textures that enhance the depth of his work.
The faces of figures and subjects in Yuser’s paintings are intentionally blurred, created through bold brushstrokes and smudges developed to evoke archetypes that invite the viewer to fill in the blanks based on their own backgrounds, life experiences, and memories. This approach deepens the work, enhancing its emotional resonance while revealing the multi-layered nature of his creative process. Music, particularly lyrics, serves as a key inspiration, sparking imagery that drives his artistic exploration and seeks to evoke a similar emotional and imagery response in the viewer.
